Experience a cultural, linguistic, and educational journey in British Columbia
Are you between 13 and 18 years old and dreaming of a cultural and educational experience in a bilingual setting? The Francophone School Board (CSF) invites you to embark on a cultural and linguistic adventure in British Columbia, whether for a trimester (3 months), a semester (5 months), or a full year (10 months).
By enrolling in one of these programs, you will be able to:
- Study at a Francophone school within the CSF For a year or more: You will follow a French first-language academic program that is enriching and tailored to your needs. You’ll experience a unique and motivating teaching approach, participate in exciting sports, cultural, and extracurricular activities, and validate your school year with an official transcript confirming your grades and academic credits.
- Improve your English quickly: In British Columbia, English is part of everyday life. The cities of Vancouver and North Vancouver offer an immersive English-speaking environment where you can practice and improve your English daily. You'll have the chance to put into practice what you learn in your English classes and leave with a strong command of the language. Margaret Atwood, et Lucy Maud Montgomery.
- Take advantage of British Columbia's natural playground to explore breathtaking landscapes. Depending on the season of your stay, you can hit the snowy slopes of nearby mountains, explore forests and parks on long hikes or bike rides, or dive into the Pacific waters and try out water sports.
- Dive into a region where nature and cultural diversity come together. In Vancouver and North Vancouver, you can explore the fascinating history of Indigenous Peoples, take part in multicultural festivals, and taste local cuisine inspired by cultures from around the world. You’ll be captivated by Indigenous art, intriguing museums, and the region’s vibrant arts scene.
- Make lifelong friends: During classes and activities, you'll have the chance to build friendships with Canadian students your age.
This international experience offered by the CSF combines learning, discovery, and friendship while allowing you to thrive in a safe and stimulating environment.
The Francophone School Board of British Columbia offers several sessions depending on the programs:
Three sessions for the three-month program:
- Session 1: September to December
- Session 2: January to the end of March
- Session 3: April to the end of June
Two sessions for the five-month program:
- Session 1: September to the end of January,
- Session 2: End of January to the end of June.
A school year (10 months)
- The school year starts in September and ends in June.
- Registration for the following year is open until April.
- The next recruitment will be for the 2025-2026 school year.
- The first session of the program will begin in September 2025.
